Installation instructions:
Remove old latch from glove box by removing 2 screws.
Put the key in the lock cylinder in a verticle position and leave it there until instructed to remove.
Turn latch to look at the back of it with the lock cylinder on the left side.
Insert a small screwdriver (1/8" wide blade or smaller) or awl in the slot directly above lock cylinder.
While jiggling it up and down, push the lock cylinder from the back of the latch. You are trying to release a locking tab on the cylinder. If you have problems, turn the key 180 degrees. The lock cylinder should come out. DO NOT TAKE THE KEY FROM THE LOCK CYLINDER!!
Insert the lock cylinder into the new latch and push all the way in, making sure the black locking linkage is lined up with the nipple on the back of the lock cylinder. Turn the key until the locking tab locks into place and you cannot push the cylinder out from the back. You are ready to install the latch back on the glove box.
You can remove the key at this time.
